How did it get to round 5 of the championship already???
Only 3 weeks after the delight of Anglesey, the BRSCC Mazda Mx-5 Championship moves onto what looks to be the busiest weekend of the year! With there being 5 Caterham championships running alongside ourselves in the mk1's and the super series, the on track action is going to be plentiful.
Snetterton is one of the more famous tracks in the UK, for its fast and flowing nature, and for the fact it has been host to the Citroen 2CV 24 hour race for years! (Always a comical event) And this year sees the return of the recently designed Snetterton 300 circuit, which was developed and completed in 2011.
For me it stands as a special circuit as it was the 1st circuit I ever raced on with the BRSCC Mx-5 Championship back in 2016. As it turned out in 2016, it proved I had a lot to learn very quickly, as competing in the middle of the B race and struggling for pace throughout the weekend was not an ideal place to be. Fortunately the weekend only consisted of 1 race due to an incident with the Fiesta's before the 2nd race, ending the on circuit action and postponing the race till the Anglesey round which was far more suited to my driving style!
As for this weekend, all the action can be found via the link below:
With the schedule for the weekend being as follows:
Saturday:
Qualifying (Group1) - 09:30 - 09:50
Qualifying (Group 2) - 10:30 - 10:50
Race 1 - 14:00 - 14:20
Sunday:
Race 2 - 10:45 - 11:05
Race 3 - 16:15 - 16:35
Let continue on the progress from Anglesey, see you on the other side...
