I still today remember watching my first ever British GP on the tele, visiting my grandparents down in Cornwall and watching the recorded race on the tele after being at the beach all day, only to see my favourite driver, Michael Schumacher crash at Stowe corner, but as with all motorsport, even as a fan there are low moments, and then there are the highs, and finally getting to drive and race around the Silverstone GP circuit is definitely an experience that can only be considered as a high moment for me!
The season so far has been as tough as I expected but for different reasons. However, Snetterton did serve as a big confidence boost as throughout the weekend, despite some frustrating mishaps in the races, the performance of the car again improved massively and with Silverstone GP coming up, confidence in the car is absolutely vital, although a few extra ponies wouldn't go amis either!
For our visit to Silverstone this time, instead of the usual 3x20mins race format, instead we will be doing 2x30mins races, with all of the action taking place on the Saturday before the C1 24hr race commences.
The timetable for the weekend is shown below, with all the action across all of the series shown via the BRSCC YouTube channel and TSL live timing.
Saturday:
Qualifying: 09:00 - 09:20
Race 1: 11:25 - 11:55
Race 2: 14:10 - 14:40
Live Coverage:
Fingers crossed for a dry weekend as I look for some more improved results in the new car!
See you on the other side
Jack
